VIYELLA SS13 WOMENSWEAR
VIYELLA MAKES AN OCCASION OUT OF SS13
Modelled by aristocrat and model India Hicks in a stunning new campaign shot by Oliver Pearce. Viyella, Britain’s heritage fashion brand since 1784, showcases sophisticated elegance for Spring Summer 13.
Launching its new occasionwear line for the first time this season, premium fabrics and cuts are intrinsic to the luxury, heritage inspired Viyella collection.
Viyella SS13 is infused with elegant, muted colours of sage, pewter, ivory, buff and pebble with injections of cornflower, rich paprika and pimento.
Early spring commences with a pretty palette of cornflower blue, most notably featured in the spotty blouse and piped jacket with pronounced collar.
Summer tweeds bring classic luxury to the collection, most importantly in the buff tweed frock coat with tweed and chiffon dress. The Ottoman blue jacket and tiered floral dress; both ideal for weddings and a trip to Ascot, also mark the new occasionwear.
Attention to detail is paramount with the Cornelli top in ivory with ivory wide leg trousers.
Summer florals from the English garden to African leaf design add a splash of colour and life to the fabrics.
The burnout fabric belted dress in pimento is perfect for summer travel and golden days.
For casualwear, an array of jeans in pastel colours completes the summer wardrobe for SS13.

SARTORIAL SPLENDOUR IN A BOATING JACKET!
This season the Viyella gentleman has country pursuits and regattas on his sartorial agenda.
British in heritage and British in style; the collection features bright chinos in green, blues, mustards and bright berry. Boating jackets with variations of bold stripes finished with classic panama to don at will, make sartorial splendour the essence of Viyella’s heritage inspired collection.
Light blue and green linen overcheck jackets and a summer quilted jacket provide a more understated, but equally refined choice for country styling this season.
The collection ensures that the dapper gentleman will stand out as a paragon of style and British sophistication from Henley to the polo this summer.
Note to editors:-
The story of Viyella began in 1784 when five Nottinghamshire businessmen founded a spinning mill in Pleasley Vale creating one of Britain’s oldest fashion brands. By the 1860’s the company had established itself as a producer of high quality yarns. In 1894 the famous Viyella cloth was born – a combination of soft wool and crisp cotton.
In 1960 the company received the Queen’s Royal Warrant. The Austin Reed Group bought Viyella in 2009 to build on the core values of the brand and produce exciting contemporary collections.
